Oblivion Modding Guide 2019 Pdf
Hey everyone, this is going to serve as a general modlist for the Oblivion playthrough I'll be doing. It's worth mentioning that if I add/remove any mods from this list, you can expect that I won't document it here, I'll probably just mention it in the video.
1) For the love of God don't use Mod Organizer 1/2. MO2 has an extraordinarily hard time with recognizing OBSE, so don't use it. MO1 does 'work' however you'll have to install OBSE plugins manually and it becomes a pain very quickly. Some mods (Like Oblivion Character Overhaul 2) had to be installed manually, or else NPCs would have serious issues (The orcs had green skins and it just looked nasty chief). The best alternative I can recommend is just use Wrye Bash. Please.
2) The game is a 32 bit process, which means it can only address up to 4GB of RAM. However, it'll rarely even make use of this, tending to only utilize 2GB because Todd had a galaxy brain when he made the game and decided not to properly code it. So yah.
3) Texture Overhauls can seriously harm your game in the sense that stability will plummit quickly, if you follow either this guide or the Brevilex Mod Guide (Which I took some queues from) you'll get decent frames with your texture overhauls.
2) Maskar's Oblivion Overhaul (Only thing that was removed was the feature that required you to have a certain level to use items, this is changed via an ini edit)
4) Skyrim Style Vanilla Followers
6) Midas Magic + Its accompanying CM Partners Addition
8) Vanilla Combat Enhanced
10) Realistic Player Dialogue Overhaul
12) Lore Creature Expansion
14) Companion Vilja (Oh boy not her again)
16) Epic Necromancy
18) Oblivion Uncut
20) Unique Landscapes (Only taken a few of them)
22) Color Map + Color Map for Elsweyr
24) Oblivion XP (Added on a few episodes in, after the Elsweyr Adventure)
1) Elsweyr: Deserts of Anequina (Mod was taken off the Nexus, so you'll have to dig to find it, I have a version saved on my PC which will allow for me to play the mod)
